“Mama Shelter Dijon: Laid-back Luxury and Job Opportunities in the Heart of Burgundy”

Its 120 rooms and its laid-back way of life will enliven Dijon while filling a shortage of beds in the metropolis. The Mama Shelter will open this summer. Its management is looking for 70 employees and is launching a call: meet on Tuesday April 25, with or without a CV!

From the fifth floor, we promise, the view of the Saint-Bénigne cathedral will be breathtaking. At 8 rue du Docteur-Maret, the Mama Shelter Dijon will cause a sensation. Of the 5,000 m2 available, there are 120 rooms (medium, large and XXL), supplemented by a restaurant with more than 200 seats with terrace-veranda and patio, a wine bar, a petanque court, areas dedicated to events and in particular a private screening room of 250 m2.

The Dijon group Quality Burgundy Hotels (Grand Hôtel La Cloche, Le Mercure, etc.) is supporting the project. The Jacquier family met their Trigano counterparts, Mama’s parents, now associated with the Accor group and incidentally co-founders of Club Med. The current went well.

The arrival of such a proposal in Dijon will make it possible to feed a still undersized hotel offer in the metropolis, in the opinion of all tourism professionals. In Paris, London or Los Angeles, Mama Shelter is synonymous with a quality city break, where the customer finds a trendy and quirky atmosphere.

A general manager recruited

Unique in its kind on the territory, the Dijon establishment will therefore have allure. For the time being, it is completing its transformation, which began at the end of 2021, under the supervision of the local contracting authority Seturec. Work is going well. Even the archaeological excavations undertaken on the former site of the CPAM – vestiges of the Xe century and unearthed the remains of a metallurgical workshop – did not threaten the summer opening.

The Dijon hotel is in the midst of a recruitment phase. He has just found his rare pearl in general management, Pauline Alle, a “Mama’s child” who has already devoted ten years of her professional life to the hotel brand, near Toulouse and in the Paris region. It now remains to recruit some 70 employees. The positions are varied: restaurant, bar, kitchen, reception, reception, maintenance… Among the promises: a particularly rewarding work environment, two consecutive days off and no cuts, which is to be emphasized in this sector. The Mama knows how to brood hers.

> A job dating is organized on Tuesday 25 April at the Caveau des Ducs, 15 avenue Albert 1er, all day from 8 am to 8 pm.
