A man who is a restaurant employee at Atlantis AncolNorth Jakarta, recording female visitors while taking a shower in the toilet. The police revealed the chronology of the indecent acts committed by the perpetrator
Head of North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Iver Son Manossoh said the incident occurred on Sunday (9/4/2023) around 16.44 WIB. At that time the victim AP (31) was about to take a shower and change clothes after swimming. However, at that time the perpetrator with the initials SA (22) recorded the victim secretly.
“The reporter went to the women’s locker room to clean his body, then the reported person without the reporter’s knowledge recorded a video of the reporter cleaning his body,” said Iver in his statement, Wednesday (12/4/2023).
Perpetrator Arrested
Shortly after, the victim learned about the perpetrator’s actions and then complained about this to security. The perpetrator was then handed over to the police.
“Then the reporter learned about the incident and complained about the incident to the local security forces and the police, then members of the Pademangan Police arrested the perpetrator and took him to the North Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit,” he explained.
The motive for the perpetrator’s actions is not yet known. Iver said that his party was still investigating the existing case. Including carrying out initial checks on the perpetrators and securing the perpetrator’s cellphone used for recording.
“Conducted interrogation of the reported SA. Securing the cellphone of the perpetrator who recorded it,” he added.
The perpetrator was handed over to the Social Institution
Iver said the perpetrator was not in custody, however handed over to a social institution for construction. However, Iver did not explain in detail the reason for the police handing over the perpetrators to social institutions.
“Sending the reported SA to the Bangun Daya 2 Social Institution for guidance,” he added.
