Former TV Host Makes Bizarre Comments About Flat Earth, Gravity, and Water in Lake

Aisling O’Loughlin, the renowned TV host and journalist, has recently sparked a wave of controversies by taking on a series of hot-button topics. In a series of fiery rants on her podcast, Aisling has lashed out against the flat-earth conspiracy theory, the ‘dark ones’ who seek to manipulate humanity, and the shadowy world of occultism. In this article, we delve deep into Aisling’s controversial statements and analyze the possible implications of her divisive perspectives.

A woman named Aisling O’Loughlin, originally from Clare but currently residing in France, has made some bizarre statements about people living in the southern hemisphere, lakes, insects, and gravity. O’Loughlin revealed on her public Telegram channel that she previously lived in Australia, but she now finds it hard to say “down under” because she believes that the world is flat. She has posted about the flat earth theory on her social media accounts, but she received negative feedback from people who believe that she is making them look “crazy” or “bad.”

O’Loughlin believes that people should question the concept of gravity and learn about strange mystics instead. She is also convinced that when she lived in Australia, she was not walking upside down while she was flying “under.” She believes that we believe absurdities, and as long as the dark ones and occultists think we believe nonsense, they will continue to push nonsense our way.

In addition to her flat earth theory, O’Loughlin expressed her thoughts about small animals, water, and the concept of spinning. She finds it hard to believe that we are walking upside down in Australia while all the water is being held in place by gravity. She wonders why there are little fruit flies flying around the place if all the water is being held down by gravity. She further questions whether we are spinning when standing beside a still lake.

However, O’Loughlin failed to mention anything about eclipses on Earth or the small amount of lift required to overcome gravity when coupled with minute weight. During a lunar eclipse, Earth passes between the sun and the moon, allowing the Earth to cast its shadow on the moon. That shadow is always a circle, no matter where a person stands on the planet, regardless of the timing of the eclipse. The only way to always cast a circular shadow is if the thing casting the shadow was a globe.

In fact, during the mid-20th century, humans began launching satellites into space that would help determine the exact circumference of the Earth, which was 40,030 km. Over 2,000 years ago, an Ancient Greek named Eratosthenes came up with nearly the same figure using just his brain and some wood. Eratosthenes planted a stick in the ground in Alexandria and waited to see if a shadow would be cast at noon, which measured seven degrees. He learned that in Syene, a city south of Alexandria, no vertical shadows were cast at noon on the summer solstice because the sun was directly overhead. If the sun’s rays came in at the same angle at the same time of day, and a stick in Alexandria was casting a shadow while a stick in Syene did not, it meant the Earth’s surface was curved. Since the difference in shadow length is seven degrees between Alexandria and Syene, it was deduced that the two cities were seven degrees apart on Earth’s 360-degrees surface. Eratosthenes hired a man to pace the distance between the two cities and found out they were 800 kilometers apart. He then used simple proportions to find the Earth’s circumference, which was 40,000 kilometers.

It can be concluded that while O’Loughlin’s beliefs are bizarre and irrational, science has long since established that the Earth is round, not flat. The flat earth theory has been debunked several times, including through Eratosthenes’ stick experiment, satellites launched into space, and eclipses. Even though there are various theories, beliefs, and views in the world, a valuable lesson can be learned from this. We should always use scientific evidence, facts, and logic before formulating our beliefs and opinions.
