STREAMS: The adventure with 90s nostalgia started in Drammenshallen in 2011. Then artists such as E-Type, Dr. Alban and 2 Unlimited played on stage. Since then, the concept has become a real success, including several sold-out concerts in Telenor Arena.
This summer, the concept will embark on a Norwegian tour with six stops. First up are the concerts in Drammen on 16 June. On top of this poster we find artists such as Aqua, Dr. Bombay, E-Type and Basshunter.
This was supposed to take place on Bragernes Torg, but after the organizers met with Drammen municipality and Byen vår Drammen, they chose to switch to the Strømsø side.
– Larger frolicking space
– We had a meeting just before Easter, and then we were tipped off that we might have some challenges with the logistics at Bragernes torg. This is not a free event like, for example, P4’s Vinterlyd. And since we have sold so well with tickets, it would also be smart to add it to an arena where there will be a larger romp around, says organizer Chris Collings to Drammens Tidende.
After looking at several options, it was the so-called throwing field that was chosen. This is located between Drammensbadet/Drammen high school and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnsons gate. It is rarely used today, but has previously been used for, among other things, fairgrounds and circuses.

– Betting on sold out
– It is now sometimes used as a car park, and we really fell for that location with such a central location and proximity to the train station, says Collings.
He does not want to give precise figures for ticket sales, but states that they have sold half of what they can sell.
– Thus, we are already guaranteed a good party in Drammen. We are betting on a sold-out and high party factor, he says.
