A doctor told Al-Arabiya.net: The pregnancy test was positive for a 42-year-old man, and it was later found to be a disease
Pregnancy medical examinations revealed a rare disease, recorded for the first time in Jordan, where the result was positive for a man in his forties, due to a tumor in the pancreas that spread to the liver.
Consultant histopathologist, Jordanian Dr. Hussam Abu Farsakh, told Al-Arabiya.net that the pregnancy test was positive for a 42-year-old man, which was surprising at first, and after examinations and documentation it turned out to be a pathological condition.
Doctor Abu Farsakh confirmed that the pregnancy test was positive, as a result of the secretion of the pregnancy hormone from a tumor in the pancreas that spread to the liver. He added, “After samples were taken from the liver tumor under a CT scan and examined under a microscope, it was found that the tumor secretes the pregnancy hormone.”
Dr. Abu Farsakh confirmed that “this man’s case represents a rare medical condition of tumors and has its own treatment.”
