Day of Hungarian Poetry - Petőfi commemorative coins were put into circulation - Dunakanyar Region

Sándor Petőfi’s portrait on the reverse side of the 200 forint circulation coin to honor the 200th anniversary of the poet’s birth and the 175th anniversary of the outbreak of the 1848-49 revolution and war of independence at the issue ceremony held at the Petőfi Literary Museum on Poetry Day, April 11, 2023.

Budapest, April 11, 2023. The commemorative medal with the portrait of the poet, issued in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sándor Petõfi and the 175th anniversary of the outbreak of the revolution and freedom struggle of 1848-49, was presented at the issuing ceremony in the Petõfi Literary Museum on Poetry Day, 2023. on April 11.
