What is meant by prostate massage?
Much like a rectal exam, urologists routinely use DREs to check the prostate for masses, changes, or other signs of possible cancer.
Your doctor may perform a DRE to obtain expressed prostate secretion, which can be checked further for signs of prostatitis, infection, or other disorders.
During a prostate massage, the massager inserts a gloved, lubricated finger into the rectum and gently presses or massages the prostate for several minutes.
If this massage is painful, tell the person doing it. Although the massage may be uncomfortable for a few moments, it should not be painful.

Benefits of prostate massage
1- Treatment of ejaculation pain
Massage therapy may relieve fluid blockages in the reproductive tract, which can cause an imbalance that leads to discomfort or pain during ejaculation.
2- Treatment of impotence
Massage therapy is used to stimulate the prostate and treat erectile dysfunction, along with other ED treatments, which include medications and pumps.
3- Helping urine flow
The prostate surrounds the urethra, and as swelling and inflammation increase, the prostate may begin to interfere with or even cut off urine flow.
Prostate massage therapy helps eliminate some of this swelling, so urine flow may improve.
4- Treatment of prostatitis
Massage therapy was the primary treatment for prostatitis before antibiotics and more specialized treatments were available, and now that doctors understand more about the many disorders that make up a prostatitis diagnosis, treatments are becoming more specialized.
