The Emirates Red Crescent Authority distributed, through the Abu Dhabi City Center, 160,000 fasting meals in the city of Abu Dhabi and its suburbs, from the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan until yesterday.
The Abu Dhabi Center stated that the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, as part of its seasonal campaign under the slogan “Ramadan… Continuous Giving”, distributes daily in the city of Abu Dhabi and its environs 8,000 fasting meals, through 55 Iftar tents allocated by the “Authority” for a fasting breakfast project, distributed over 45 Geographically located within the city of Abu Dhabi and its suburbs.
The Abu Dhabi City Center, through the Iftar project, will distribute 225,000 Ramadan meals during the holy month of Ramadan, at a value of 3,850,000, in cooperation with 80 volunteers.
A team of Red Crescent volunteers was formed for each site, whose task is to supervise the meal distribution mechanism, ensure that the meals arrive on time, and ensure the safety of the food before it is distributed and during the distribution process to the beneficiaries.
The Red Crescent Authority aims, in its distribution of Ramadan tents, to be located in labor housing areas, and in places near mosques and crowded places, to ensure that Ramadan meals reach those who deserve it.
The fasting fasting project comes within the framework of the Authority’s seasonal Ramadan campaign “Ramadan… Continuous Giving”, which will benefit 831,205 people nationwide, at a value of 20 million and 146 thousand dirhams.
Benefactors can contribute to the initiatives of the “Ramadan … Continuous Giving” campaign by donating the value of 250 dirhams or 500 dirhams to secure the Ramadan mire, or the value of 15 dirhams for fasting breakfast, or 25 dirhams for zakat al-Fitr, or 50 dirhams for Eid clothing, or 10 dirhams for Eid clothing.
