EA has officially unveiled the branding for EA Sports FC, which will replace longstanding FIFA branding after licensing talks collapsed last year. EA Sports FC’s new “brand identity” is heavily inspired by the inverted triangle symbol, which has long been used in FIFA games to indicate which player you control on the pitch.
“Our new brand identity is inspired by the triangles that have been part of EA SPORTS football for 30 years, from the isometric polygons that make up our game to the chemistry triangles in Ultimate Team to the player display in every game”according to the official announcement.
“The triangle has revolutionized football since the birth of Total Football in the 70’s, now it can serve as a proud badge of football’s coming developments.”
EA has clarified that despite losing the FIFA license, EA Sports FC will continue to contain most of the biggest leagues and franchises in the world.
“Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, La Liga Santander, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Barclays Women’s Super League, NWSL and many more are partners of EA SPORTS FC”, so EA. “Developed by fans for fans, EA SPORTS FC is a new football club for the future of football that we want to shape together.”
EA Sports FC will be presented for the first time in July 2023.
