“Resident Evil: Death Island Trailer Revealed with Exciting Character Cast and International Release Plans”

Yesterday, we teased via leaked footage the upcoming trailer for the animated Resident Evil: Death Island movie, and now it’s officially here. The image announced in February this year is exposed much more clearly in the new trailer and shows what awaits us in Alcatraz, and who we can look forward to this time. The new movie is co-produced by Quebico and TMS Entertainment, and will hit Japanese theaters on July 7, the trailer revealed.

We in the West will not remain impoverished either. International distribution rights are held by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, but it’s not yet clear when we’ll get to see Resident Evil: Death Island, or indeed how we’ll be able to see it. Quite naturally, some kind of streaming service is offered. The latest adaptations appeared on Netflix. Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy will canonically work together for the first time in the story, but in addition to them, Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield and Rebecca Chambers will also appear on screen.

In terms of chronology, the novel is situated between the events of Resident Evil 6 and 7 and follows the story of the CGI film Resident Evil: Vendetta from 2017, although after it we saw the miniseries Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness in 2021. The story is dated to 2015.

However, it is not the only Resident Evil movie that has been talked about in recent days. A magazine report surfaced online over Easter Geek Vibes Nation, which claims a new film reboot is in the works, subtitled The Umbrella Chronicles. The film is to be produced by Paul WS Anderson, who is signed to older Hollywood adaptations starring Milla Jovovich. We do not know the name of the director or screenwriter.

We don’t know anything else about the movie, but it’s worth noting that Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles was also a game from 2007 for the Wii, which was later also released for the PlayStation 3. It was a rail shooter, so we wouldn’t look for a story connection between the two projects.
