In the case of Chinese tires, the price increase is 10 per 100, and the prices of well-known European brands are increased by 20%
Increase in the prices of car tires. In just a few months, they have risen by up to 20%, and with the warming of the weather, there are again queues in front of service stations to change tires.
Going for new tires, Todor remains unpleasantly surprised, but is adamant that he will not compromise on quality.
“20% is not small, especially if the tires are more expensive. I prefer new tires, good quality. Although the prices are higher, security comes first,” Todor Marincheshki told bTV.
In the case of Chinese tires, the price increase is 10 per cent, and the prices of well-known European brands have increased by 20%. They are also the preferred ones.
“It is related to energy, to the costs of producing the tires. Customers have become convinced that quality is more important than price. When they save another lev on tires that are not of European quality, they warp faster,” says Kalin Balkanliev, service manager.
In Kalin Balkanliev’s workshop, the tires are more expensive, but the price for disassembly and assembly is unchanged. In one of the tire centers in Plovdiv, the service has already been increased by 20%.
“The last year to year and a half has been the bigger increase in both tires and services. The compromise made by customers is that some already buy all-season tires,” says Petar Lazarov, manager of a tire center.
And because of the so-called all-season tires, the volume of another service has decreased – the tire hotel. However, experts warn that they are only suitable for urban conditions. In mountains and on highways, specialized grapples are required.
