Progress was made with the asphalt regularization work schedule during Holy Week with the active operation of the asphalt plant, according to reports from the Municipality of Ciudad del Este. In fact, in several sections the work carried out was observed, taking advantage of a lower movement of people and vehicles in the commercial area of the city.
In the downtown area of the city, the team carried out work on the streets in batches, the first of which was between Capitán Emeterio Miranda, Regimiento Sauce, Coronel Toledo, Camilo Recalde and Emiliano R. Fernández streets.
During Holy Week, the milling of these streets was completed and immediate progress was made in the placement of the asphalt layer, adjusting the activities to the work schedules depending on the number of vehicles that occupied the avenues and respecting the time of commercial activity. in the zone.
The architect Rocío Oviedo, from the asphalt plant management of the Commune, explained that the asphalting of lot one is in process, but they achieved an estimated 80% progress, in addition to starting the milling of the degraded pavement on Adrián Jara and Adrián Jara avenues. THE OPERATION
The asphalt plant began operating in February and one of the first activities was the repair of a busy avenue in the Santa Anta neighborhood. The first batch of asphalt started with a patch is framed within the priority of paving the entire route of public transport, with 300 tons of concrete, applied on this first day. The works will cover up to the border with Presidente Franco, which implies 1,150 linear meters of asphalt layer, as indicated by the technicians of the commune.
