Delfina Gómez proposes to end femicides and crimes against women – El Financiero

Delfina Gómez, candidate for governor of the State of Mexico for the Morena, Labor and Green Ecologist parties, promised that one of the first actions of her government will be to meet with the families of disappeared and violated women in the state.

no more femicides, no more disappearances in the state. One of the first actions that we will carry out in terms of security for the Mexicans will be to meet with the families of the disappeared or violated women, in addition to creating the Gender Police.

The former federal Education Secretary warned that “we are facing a painful reality: the State of Mexico is the entity with the highest number of femicides in the country, with almost eight women violently murdered every week.

“We are going to dedicate all possible human, political and financial resources to combat femicide,” he reiterated.

In the municipality of JilotzingoDelfina Gómez explained that security, education and the strengthening of human values are fundamental pillars so that “whatever it costs me, we eradicate this social problem.”

Before more than 2,000 people from this Mexican town, the Morenista asserted that to address this problem, her government will coordinate with the three levels of government.

“Let it be heard loud and heard far away, we cannot continue to be the capital of femicide, that is why we have a firm objective: to achieve zero impunity in femicides, transfeminicides, serious sexual crimes and human rights violations.”

Finally, Delfina Gómez asked the militants and supporters gathered at the rally to ensure that the election passes calmly and is a democratic party.

Leader of the Citizen Movement joins Delfina Gómez

Serafin Gutierrez Moralesformer mayor of the Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) party in the municipality of Xonacatlán, and one of the main leaders of the Toluca Valley Metropolitan Area, announced his adhesion to the electoral campaign headed by Delfina Gómez Álvarez.

The addition of the orange leader to the Fourth Transformation was through the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico, after the mayor and the leaders identified as ‘seraphinists’ specified in a press conference that today a great change is required, “and that is only may emanate from the project led by Delfina Gómez Álvarez”.

At this event, which was chaired by José Alberto Couttolenc Buentello, PVEM state leader, he recalled that Serafín Gutiérrez has been mayor of his municipality twice for two different parties (PRD and MC), and is a politician who can walk the streets of Xonacatlán without any problem because large sectors of the population recognize the performance that he had at the head of the government at the time.

”He is one of the people who, having been mayor, still has a brutal recognition in the municipality; the people greet him, the people love him,” said the Green leader. The former local deputy specified that the instruction that Delfina Gómez has given him on several occasions has been precise: in the transformation process that we are promoting in the State of Mexico, everyone is welcome.

In this sense, the leader of the Green said that, in the case of Serafín Gutiérrez, it is proven that he is a politician who has truly worked for the citizenry.

Serafín Gutiérrez, who was municipal president of Xonacatlán in two periods (2006-2009 and 2019-2021), specified that together with him a very important number of political cadres join the Green Party, and with it the campaign of the leftist candidate Delfina Gomez. He clarified that his work team is not made up of impromptu politicians, but rather professionals who have always acted in favor of the well-being of the population.

He recalled that a popular representative is an employee of the citizenry and therefore must always act in their favor and defend their interests, he concluded.
