Singer Sofia Rotaru may be deprived of real estate in Moscow.
The Veterans of Russia organization filed a statement about this with the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, Russian media write.
“The leadership of our organization has applied to the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General’s Office. This is due to the possible financial support of Rotaru to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We demand that its property in Moscow and Yalta be taken away, sold, and the proceeds should be directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” said Vadim Mironenko, director of the organization .
According to Mironenko, we are talking, in particular, about Rotaru’s three-room apartment on Zoological Street in Moscow.
Earlier, an interview with Rotaru’s sister Lydia Khlyabich was published in the Ukrainian media, in which she said that the singer in 2015 helped the Armed Forces of Ukraine with money. And in August 2022, Rotaru herself made a similar statement, noting that she was going to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and members of military families, as she had previously helped the “heroes of the ATO”.
Recall that in the summer, producer Rotaru told where the singer now lives. According to him, she left, lives in America, but continues to be a citizen of Ukraine.
The war in Ukraine has been going on for 411 days. We follow the news on April 10 in our online.
