This monitor is the first in the world. Not with its 49-inch diagonal and not with the IPS Black panel used. The premiere is the combination of these parameters in a top office monitor.
The extra-wide 49″ diagonal in 32:9 aspect ratio corresponds to two 27″ monitors placed side by side. Here, of course, without a gap in the middle and with a bend in addition.
Dell Ultrasharp U4924DW

The curvature doesn’t suit the office so much, but with 49″ inches, you honestly need it. Fortunately, Dell has chosen a milder curvature here, constant across the entire surface of the monitor. When I reviewed the 49″ Philips years ago, I was excited about it not only because I helped to successfully survive in the covid lockdown at the home office. This Philips, however, did not have a smooth curve over the entire surface. So it was necessary to choose where to transfer the window on a large area.
Bending at 49″ is necessary, but here it is not as extreme as with gaming monitors
Dell can afford a milder, more office-friendly bend thanks to the IPS panel. This is because it does not suffer as much from deformations of color shades when viewed from the side and therefore the image is color stable even when viewed from a not completely straight direction.
