Nitrogen. For a few years now everyone has been talking about that colorless and odorless gas that is all around us. Politicians are at each other’s throats because nitrogen would harm our nature too much. As a result, construction projects have come to a standstill or are delayed, and farmers have to radically adapt or stop their businesses. But how big is the nitrogen problem in the Netherlands? And is it really that bad with our nature?
