Indonesia’s Social Affairs Minister, Tri Rismaharini, has launched an online learning channel named PENA TV as an entrepreneurship knowledge and skills learning platform for beneficiary recipient families. Available through YouTube, Facebook, and Pahlawan Ekonomi Zoom, the minister encourages recipient families to study diligently to develop their businesses. The PENA program has reached 5,209 active recipients of the Hope Family Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) Program since 2022. PENA TV offers mentoring, training, feedback, and facilities to nurture recipient families’ spirit, to face business challenges and competition. PENA TV is expected to encourage recipients to improve their skills, expanding into new target markets with greater profit potential. The ministry works with strategic partners, such as businessmen, professionals from universities, and government and NGOs. The initiative aims to improve recipient families’ income and remove them from social aid membership.
