The new season of ‘Farmer seeks Woman Europe’ started on Sunday evening and that means that we have been able to meet a number of new farmers. We list the candidates here in detail for you.

Boer Richard (32)
Farmer Richard has a large-scale arable farm in Slovakia. Although he likes to cook, he prefers to eat out even more. Alone, preferably with good company. He can really enjoy an evening on the couch and watch television, but also likes to go out with friends or to a tropical swimming pool. The latter stems from another hobby, namely water polo: something he has done for a long time. What makes working as a farmer so enjoyable for him is that no two days are the same. “I like the variety,” says Richard. While he doesn’t necessarily expect a future partner to join his company, he would like “a little affinity.” “And I like it when she has her own thing. If she only comes here for me, she’ll be home in no time. It’s healthy to have your own interest, but also interest in each other. have something to say at home, that you support each other and that you reinforce each other in what you do.”

Farmer Piet (63)
Farmer Piet works for a beef cattle farm in Germany. In his spare time he likes to watch a Scandinavian series on Netflix or read a thriller. He doesn’t have to think long about what makes his work as a farmer so beautiful. “I spend a lot of time outside in nature. I’ve never wanted to do anything else. You’re your own boss and you can influence how you approach things.” He does not necessarily expect help from a partner, but especially companionship. “I’m not looking for help for the company. I especially hope that someone can help me relax. Who wants to do fun things with me after a day’s work.”

Farmer Claudia (57)
Farmer Claudia has an organic dairy farm in France. She has two daughters, ages 25 and 20, who spend the weekends with her. In addition, she lives with some cows, calves and 2 cats and a dog named Charlie on the farm. During the week she likes to be at home and meet up with friends. Although it is not a must for her that a partner comes to help her in her business, she would appreciate a little support and thinking along. “If he is eager to help, we can start milking together.” If your letter is selected now, you can already score some extra points by bringing apple syrup, pancake syrup and gingerbread from the Netherlands: these are her favorite delicacies.

Farmer’s wife Bernice (23)
Farmer Bernice has a dairy farm in Sweden, where she lives with her father Klaas Ane, mother Jacomien and brother Carsten. Bernice likes to work a little longer in the evenings, after which she makes some food and settles down on the couch to watch some series. “I usually work a little longer in the evenings. Then prepare food myself, and usually watch some series. In the summer I like to walk with my dog or sit in the garden and enjoy myself, do something with friends, or train a horse.” What attracts her most about working on the farm is the contact with the animals. “They give you so much if you take good care of them, and you get a lot in return. The freedom you have is also fantastic.” She hopes that a future partner will lend a hand in the business. “In any case, he must understand farm life. It is a lifestyle that you have to fit into, otherwise it will not work.”

Farmer Haico (42)
Boer Haico has a dairy farm in Denmark, a family business with 220 dairy cows and 150 hectares of land to grow feed. He lives here with his parents and dog Panda. After a busy day at work, he prefers to have a bite to eat with his parents. “After that I watch some television, do some sports, or do some hobbies in my workshop.” What makes the work so much fun for him is the freedom, the interaction with animals and the fact that he can decide big things himself. He doesn’t necessarily expect a partner to help him on the farm. “I’m not looking for an employee. I think it’s fine if she has her own thing, but she has to accept that I have a farm. And that not everything can be planned. If a cow has to calve, then everything will be a bit later, for example.”
