A teenager assaulted with a machete performs a tracheotomy

This Sunday, April 9, it was learned that the adolescent who was assaulted with a machete in Holguín underwent a tracheostomy.

Through a report by journalist Alberto Arego, the teenager’s uncle gave details about the health of the minor, identified as 16-year-old Lester Domínguez.

“Right now he is stable. Now he will be able to eat better because the levin was giving him fever and inflammation”, said the uncle, after the young man woke up from the tracheotomy.

The uncle, identified as Dennis Domínguez, spoke with Lester after 1:00 pm this Sunday, April 9. “I asked him if he was cold, if he felt bad and he told me that he felt fine. I told him to behave well, that in three days we could move him to another room so he could listen to music and he said yes”.

Likewise, it was reported that the young man “At this moment he did not have a fever, he did not want to eat by mouth because he still felt discomfort. He is assimilating food well and is evolving rapidly, ”uncle Dennis shared.

It should be remembered that, on March 21, 16-year-old teenager Lester Domínguez Ortiz was assaulted with a machete in Holguín to steal his cell phone.

Later, it was learned that the young man remained in critical condition after presenting pneumonia and fever.

“Lester is still reported as serious-critical. Last night and this morning he had a fever of 38 and a half. The hemoglobin has it at 9. She is going to be transfused again, ”said his uncle at that moment.

“He is still with the ventilation teams. As soon as he recovers from pneumonia, he plans to perform a tracheotomy. The pressure is being controlled with medication. Other than that, he’s eating well.”
