Alpine A523 Returns to its True Colors for the Rest of the 2023 Season

Like last year, Alpine unveiled two liveries of its single-seater this winter; a pink to mark its partnership with its main sponsor BWT and a blue embellished with touches of pink. According to the contract signed with BWT, the pink livery was to be used only for the first three rounds of the year, ie in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

From the Azerbaijan Grand Prix therefore, to the delight of fans of the brand, the Alpine A523 will find its blue livery (the same as that of the illustration photo) and it is this livery that will be used by the squad for the remainder of the 2023 season.

So far, the pink livery of the A523 has not brought much luck to Alpine, which before the Azerbaijan Grand Prix occupies sixth place in the constructors’ world championship with only eight points scored in three races.

The last Grand Prix in Australia ended with a double retirement for Alpine, which saw its two drivers collide in the final laps of the race. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly therefore scored no points in Melbourne, while the two Frenchmen were in the top ten before their crash.

For the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Alpine will therefore return to its true colours, while an “important” update will be introduced on the A523, team manager Otmar Szafnauer has already confirmed.

« We will continue to move forward and these difficult times will only bond the team even more. We are already looking forward to Baku, where an important development is planned. » said the American after the Australian GP.
