COLUMBUS, Ohio — Igor Shesterkin stopped 20 shots for his third shutout of the season as the New York Rangers beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-0 on Saturday.
Jimmy Vesey, Chris Kreider, Niko Mikkola and Vincent Trocheck scored for Rangers. Mika Zibanejad had two assists.
Michael Hutchinson blocked 24 shots in his 150th game for the Blue Jackets.
After a scoreless second period in which Rangers outshot 11-2, Mikkola gave Rangers a three-goal lead with his first goal in 109 games.
Trocheck scored the last goal of the game, with 20 seconds to go.
