A road accident occurred this Monday, June 6 in Argilliers in the Gard. A car with seven passengers on board crashed into a plane tree. All are injured, three in absolute emergency, two whose vital prognosis is engaged were airlifted.
A very serious road accident occurred on the night of June 5 to 6 in Argilliers in the Gard. The firefighters were alerted around 3 a.m. to a traffic accident involving a single car against a plane tree on the D981.
On arrival, the emergency services found that a single vehicle (7-seater grand touring type) had crashed into a plane tree. Significant resources have been deployed: six ambulances, two roadside rescue vehicles, three command vehicles from the barracks of Uzès, Fournes, Marguerittes, Beaucaire, Nîmes, Saint-Genies-de-Malgoires, les Angles, Bagnols-sur-Cèze supported by two SMUR teams from Bagnols and Nîmes. The passengers were extricated by firefighters.
Very quickly two helicopters (SAMU34 and Dragon 34) were also engaged on the spot and landed on the Vers-Pont-du-Gard stadium and directly on the RD981. There are seven victims, three of whom are in absolute emergency: a 58-year-old man, another 44-year-old and a 50-year-old woman. The last two whose vital prognosis is engaged were helicoptered to the University Hospitals of Nîmes and Lapeyronie in Montpellier, the others were hospitalized in Bagnols-sur-Cèze.
The victims of the accident are residents of Vers-Pont-du-Gard. Among them, an opposition municipal councillor, his wife and daughter of the latter as well as family friends. They were returning from the Nîmes feria when the accident occurred. the results of the driver’s blood alcohol and narcotics tests are negative.
Traffic was completely halted during the operation.

as well as the municipality of Vers Pont du Gard has greatly contributed to
the effectiveness of the management of all the injured.
