A 23-year-old Indian Navy Hull Artificer 4, named Mohit, died after sustaining grievous injuries onboard INS Brahmaputra during operations at sea.

A 23-year-old Indian Navy personnel named Mohit died onboard a missile frigate called INS Brahmaputra after sustaining severe injuries during sea operations on April 8th. Mohit was deployed as a Hull Artificer 4 on the missile frigate. The cause of the accident is unknown, and investigations are underway through the Board of Inquiry. The Hull Artificer 4 is a rank equivalent to Petty Officer in the Indian Navy. Chief of Navy Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar and personnel from the Navy extended their condolences to Mohit’s family.
