The 2016 film Teorie tigra, starring Jiří Bartoška, was the directorial debut of Radek Bajgar about a veterinarian who feels that he, a former tiger, is becoming a rabbit in a cage.
“Although the viewer wants to support attempts to thematize even non-trivial middle-class dilemmas such as ‘a husband in an asylum is better than a divorce in the family’, they always remain only briefly sketched,” wrote Tomáš Stejskal in a period review.
