The Mercedes-AMG One, equipped with a 1063-horsepower hybrid engine, set another record in its achievements, taking away the best time of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS at the Monza circuit.
The Mercedes-AMG One, known as a hypercar, uses F1 technologies, is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo V6 engine and four electric motors, reaching a total system power of 1063 hp. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, 200 km/h is reached in less than 7 seconds, and the maximum speed is 352 km/h. In addition, the miracle of German engineering has an allowance for public roads.
It would be a sin not to use such gifts, therefore Mercedes factory test pilot Maro Engels is again seated at the wheel and, hey! – a new record in hand. This time, the Monza lap was completed with a time of 1:43.902, beating the previous record of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS by almost 12 seconds.
Experts believe that the Mercedes-AMG One will continue to rewrite history, but as the only competitor for similar lap times, only the Aston Martin Valkyrie with similar power can claim.
Let us remind you that Mercedes intends to make 275 copies of the Mercedes-AMG One, asking about 3 million dollars for each one. The production of the supercar was started at the end of summer 2022, but it was already reported that all the cars have been bought.
