Harold Ramírez from Cartagena hit his second home run of the season. “El Pitbull” dispatched one of the five homers of the Tampa Bay Rays, in the 9-5 victory against Oakland Athletics this Friday, a 399-foot hit all over the right field.
Acting as DH, Harold went 1-for-4, homering and grounding out to pitcher in the second inning, striking out swinging in the fourth, and striking out again in the sixth. Ramírez has a .188 offensive average, going 3-for-16 with two home runs, two runs scored, two RBIs and three strikeouts in five games.
The Tampa Bay Rays leads the American League East with seven wins and none lost, above Toronto, which is 5-3, Baltimore and the NY Yankees, which are 4-3, and Boston, which is last with 3 and 4. This Saturday they will play the second of the three-game series against the Oakland Athletics, starting at 3:10 pm. although Harold Ramírez does not appear in the lineup, being replaced as designated hitter by Randy Arozarena.
