Ponnani Harbor – Chamravattam Bridge

NiA path that stretches for kilometers along the edge of the lake. Bharatapuzha is a cold wind coming from the melting estuary in the Arabian Sea. This wind will dilute even the harshness of the midday sun… People flock to this path as the sun begins to dip towards the western horizon… Once here you can take a boat trip through Olaparap to enjoy the beauty of the estuary and the Nila in the evening…

All this can be enjoyed by reaching Karma Road in Ponnani. It is a five and a half kilometer long stretch of road starting from Chamravattam Quay on the Nariparam-Ponnani National Highway and extending to Ponnani Fishing Port. The path passes along Bharatapuzha. A bridge built across the Connolly Canal near the estuary adds to the beauty of the scenery.

But there is no access to the bridge as the inauguration ceremony is not possible. You can always enjoy the beauty of Nila from the side of the road as the Ilang wind is caressing it all the time. The cool breeze, the flutter of the golden Pokuwail and the boat ride through the olaparap make the Karma road enjoyable. The unique flavors of Ponnani delicacies are also waiting for the visitors here.

Let’s have fun, go boating…

The highlight of the Karma road is the boat ride where you can enjoy the beauty of the Nila and the Arabian Sea. Around 16 boats ply here, including two speed boats. Special offers have been prepared for the tourists on the occasion of Easter, Vishu and Purunnal. 100 per person is charged for the three-quarter-hour journey. This ride is from 3pm to 7pm.

Boat rides can also be booked by the hour for Iftar parties and birthday celebrations. Special packages are also available for groups and students. A 30-passenger boat can be rented for an hour at Rs 2,500. A package is also available at Rs 400 per person for four hours including food. A boat service departs from the western side.
