Sachin Pilot of Rajasthan’s Congress unit announced a one-day fast against corruption and demanded action against the alleged corruption of the previous BJP government led by Vasundhara Raje. Pilot accused Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of not initiating any investigation or inquiry into the matter. This is the latest episode in a long-running feud between Pilot and Gehlot.

Sachin Pilot, a leader of the Congress party in Rajasthan, has accused Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of failing to act against corruption in the state, causing a rift within the party ahead of elections. Pilot has called for action against alleged corruption by the previous BJP government, including in relation to excise, illegal mining, land encroachment and the Lalit Modi affidavit case. He has said that the party must fulfil its promises and investigate these issues ahead of the upcoming election. Pilot and Gehlot have a long-running feud, with Pilot previously attempting to force a promotion from Deputy Chief Minister which failed.
