The giant Finnish company, one of the pioneers of pocket computers, created a category with communicators, which it then single-handedly closed with the E90, which shows both the past and the future.
Nokia is being talked about quite a lot these days, as it is still considered one of the prominent representatives of modern network technologies, while the mobile business has not disappeared completely without a trace either; true, it has little to do with Finnish roots and unforgettable heritage. Unfortunately, cheap devices are not particularly exciting, but it is to be appreciated that the idea of sustainability, which can be said to be so fashionable these days, has a high priority. Recently, the logo was also changed to visually separate the two Nokias.
However, this is a high-profile question, many people are interested in when the brand that once dominated the world will return to the level of the major players. From time to time, a rumor or concept drawing appears about the new Nokia top model, which users who have been in the picture since the dawn of mobile phones are still amazingly hungry for. In principle, everything has been added, and it is estimated that it will immediately be a huge success when it finally hits the market. Well, I wish it were that simple, Nokia’s history was littered with painful closures at several points, the now almost completely forgotten Communicator family met such an end in 2007.
One day, I heard an unusual comparison regarding Samsung’s current fold-out Fold device: an individual who doesn’t follow the mobile market at all suddenly found himself saying that “This Fold4 is like the old Nokia communicators!”. Now, this is a comparison to which a Fold owner suddenly can’t really react, since he has already been bullied by the marketing machine, according to which he is using a prominent member of the first generation of mobile phones with a bendable display, something like this did not exist before.
