The year 2022 that has just passed is truly not a happy time for peoplethe richest man in this world. According to the latest list Forbesthe 25 richest people in the world lost a total of USD 200 billion from their wealth in the past year.
As quoted detikINET from CNBC, it was listed on the latest Forbes 2023 World Billionaires List. The number of billionaires (in US dollars) in the world and the volume of their wealth has also decreased.
A total of 254 people lost their billionaire status last year and the remaining 2,640 billionaires lost a total of USD 500 billion. FTX founders Sam Bankman-Fried and Kanye West are among those who are no longer on the elite list of the richest people.
Despite the Twitter drama and the drop in Tesla stock, Elon Musk didn’t suffer the biggest losses last year. That title went to Jeff Bezos, whose net worth fell by $57 billion or around Rp.851 trillion due to a 38% drop in Amazon’s stock price on March 10.

Bernard Arnault, boss of luxury fashion conglomerate LVMH, is in the No. 1 after adding USD 53 billion to his net worth by 2022, making him to the top of the list for the first time with an estimated net worth of USD 211 billion.
Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, who used to be the richest person, now has to settle for sixth place with assets of around USD 104 billion. He did give a lot of money for humanitarian actions.
