Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a selfie with a disabled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker during his one-day visit to Chennai and Hyderabad on Saturday. Modi praised Thiru S Manikandan for his dedication to the BJP, his hard work as a booth president, and for donating a substantial part of his daily profits to the party. The selfie was shared on Modi’s Twitter account. During his visit, Modi launched projects worth over ₹13,700 crore in both cities and inaugurated the New Integrated Terminal Building of Chennai Airport, as well as flagged off the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express. In a public rally in Chennai, Modi praised Tamil Nadu’s rich history and contributions to Indian freedom struggle before launching ₹5,200 crore infrastructure projects.
