If employees want to stay in the company, there is a consequence that there will be a reduction in compensation. There was even a demotion, and cuts in benefits such as bonuses and equity grants.
The restructuring also included termination of employment (PHK) and closing of a number of branches McDonald’s. Reportedly there are hundreds of employees who will be affected by layoffs this week.
McDonald’s Corp. has 150,000 employees worldwide. The layoffs affect McDonald’s employees in the United States (US) and other countries.
