A 51-year-old man from the Bavarian town of Windsfeld (Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen district) found out about his wife after she had put a contract killer on him. According to a report in the “Bild” newspaper, the man lived with his wife in a house. The couple have four children. He has a car paint shop, his wife works in the office there.
But one day he became suspicious, believing that she was cheating on him. To find proof of the affair, he bugged their home. The “Bild” quotes the 51-year-old: “I go on vacation with a friend once a year. I thought if something happens, it will happen when I’m gone.” He wanted to tap and record telephone conversations via the bugs.
“I heard them talking about getting me out of there”
But he didn’t just get proof that she was cheating on him. His wife also wanted him out of the way, reports the “image”. The paper quotes the man: “I heard them talking about hiring a Greek for more than 20,000 euros and that they know people who are already on their way to Thailand to get rid of me there. “It pulled the ground out from under his feet.
The man flew back from vacation earlier and immediately went to the police. After playing the recordings to the officers, he hid for four days until the criminal police took action. His wife, her lover and the Greek were arrested. The woman has been in custody since the end of March.
Her possible motive why she didn’t just leave the man, but even wanted to have him killed. The man has a well-endowed life insurance policy. “My wife would certainly have been a good match,” he says.
