The first part of Volha is more of an introduction: the new miniseries of Czech Television prepares the environment and the number of characters for a story that is to span over decades. The generously narrative project is about a driver who fulfills his dreams while working for Czechoslovak Television during normalization – thanks to cooperation with StB, among other things. Volha stands on the acting performances of Kryštof Hádek and Klára Melíšková in particular and on the careful rendering of a distorted time.
