While studies usually focus on one potential candidate at a time, recent dementia research supports two candidates.
The first study, published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, suggests that a combination of B-vitamin and omega-3 supplements may protect the brain.
The research team found that a “dynamic” supplement duo can stop your brain from shrinking by up to 73 percent.
The discovery, hailed as a “major step towards preventing Alzheimer’s”, was first made at the University of Oxford. But it has now been confirmed by research groups in the Netherlands, Sweden and China.
