The iconic pub better known as ‘Jacksies’ of Killinaskully, which was featured in Pat Shortt’s comedy show, has been put up for sale with a price tag of €295,000. Although the pub interior for the series was filmed in Ryan’s Thatched Pub in the nearby village of Killoscully, Bonnán Buí was the viewers’ image of Jacksie’s. DNG Gilmartin Auctioneers has created a virtual tour of the north Tipperary pub to attract potential buyers including superfans of the comedy, which drew thousands to RTÉ on Sunday nights. The pub in Ballinahinch, Newport is described as a “beautiful modern pub”, featuring a three-bedroom and separate two-bedroom accommodation, suitable for renting out to get additional income. The auctioneer confirmed in the comments section that the pub comes with the alcohol license.
