The district court in Plovdiv is looking at the remand order for the Chechen, Emily and Tosho Kukata in the case of the humiliating clip, which shows a boy being led on a leash and “trained” like a dog in a shopping center in the city under the hills.

The three were charged with “hooliganism committed under conditions of cynicism”. If found guilty, they face up to 5 years in prison.
The Chechen man, Emilie and Tosho Kukata were brought to court under heavy police presence and in handcuffs. Upon entering the hall, they stated that they were not to blame for what happened and that the boy only wanted to be photographed in order to become famous.

Minutes after the start of the hearing, the defense asked for a 30-minute break to get acquainted with the materials in the case.
Prosecutors said Thursday that the 20-year-old, who has special educational needs, was not threatened to take part in the video. A common acquaintance of the defendants convinced him to do this.
