The annual Forbes list of the world’s richest people for the year 2023 witnessed a noticeable decline in the number of wealthy people, as this year it reached 2640 billionaires, while last year it reached 2668, and in the Middle East 9 billionaires lost their classification on the list out of 21 billionaires, but on the other hand, the combined wealth of these people increased, reaching 53.9 billion. dollars, after last year it was 52.9 billion dollars.

However, Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and his brother Taha, who are always on the list, each lost $0.4 billion this year, as the wealth of each of them amounted to $3.2 billion last year, to drop this year to $2.8 billion. .

Despite the decrease in their wealth, they remained among the top ten men, with the size of their wealth, as the “Naguib” ranked seventh, while Taha ranked eighth.
