Rep. Yoon was elected as the new floor leader with a majority of 65 out of 109 votes at the general assembly held at the National Assembly on the 7th. On this day, the election was held in a bilateral confrontation with the fourth-term lawmaker Kim Hak-yong (Anseong, Gyeonggi-do). Rep. Kim got 44 votes.
In his greetings on the day, the new floor leader Yoon said, “I will prevent the runaway of the huge opposition party with the power of public sentiment and restore public trust,” he said. I will open it,” he said.

After entering politics, he became the first member of the National Assembly from the police academy by running for Daegu Dalseo-eul as a member of the Saenuri Party, the predecessor of the people’s power, in the 19th general election. Afterwards he got off in the same constituency and won a third term.
During the re-election period, he served as the chief deputy representative of the hospital and was in charge of the agreement between the ruling and opposition parties on the ‘Druking Special Prosecutor’. Although he is usually taciturn, he is known as a negotiator in the party with meticulous work handling and breakthrough ability.
In the National Assembly, he served as the chairman of the political affairs committee and the foreign affairs committee, and when President Seok-yeol Yoon was a presidential candidate, he served as deputy head of the People’s Power Election Countermeasures Headquarters and head of the Situation Office.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party of Korea congratulated the new floor leader Yoon on the election and pressed for cooperation in re-voting the Grain Management Act.
