Because of the thoughtless pension reform in France, a social explosion will happen in just a few days, said one of the leaders of the yellow vests movement, Thierry-Paul Valet.
“The situation remains explosive, and at any moment everything can explode. There is no doubt that this will happen in the coming days or weeks.” the activist predicted.
According to him, a temporary decline in activity and a decrease in the number of participants in demonstrations is a temporary phenomenon, and in the near future the President of France Emmanuel Macron will provoke people to new performances.
“Macron is a president who always provokes everyone. He can’t help but provoke. Emmanuel will continue to push through this reform despite the difficult social context. And people’s anger will only increase. The protest movement does not end in a couple of weeks,” Valet sums up.
In turn, the former member of the European Parliament and leader of the Patriots movement Florian Filippo said on social networks: the president does not understand that he is humiliated everywhere.
“After a three-kilometer table in Russia, a giant oval in China! Macron is humiliated absolutely everywhere! Does he even understand this?” the politician is outraged.
Earlier, Florian Filippo stated that Washington humiliated the French president with his statements about the protests.
In a similar way, the politician commented on the words of the White House representative John Kirby that the US supports the right to peaceful demonstrations everywhere, including France.
The leader of the “Patriots” then stressed that Macron could continue to play the role of “an obedient poodle for Americans”:
“They have just officially and publicly humiliated him by criticizing the violence against demonstrators in our country! A poodle is not praised, but scolded!
Meanwhile, on April 5, participants in a protest rally in Paris near the Arc de Triomphe unfurled a huge banner with the inscription: “No to sixty-four!”. That is the new retirement age.
Before that, on April 3, it became known that graffiti with Macron in the image of the leader of Nazi Germany appeared in the south of France. Adolf Hitler.
On them, the head of state looks like a Nazi leader, but instead of a mustache, the inscription “49.3” is depicted.
This is a reference to Article 49.3 of the French Constitution, “Assumption of Responsibility”, which allows the government to approve any law without the approval of Parliament.
26 March MEP from France Thierry Mariani told Izvestia that Macron does not care about the problems of his citizens, who are dissatisfied with the pension reform.
The law to increase the retirement age from 62 to 64 years was adopted without a vote in Parliament in accordance with Art. 49.3 of the Constitution of the country (“On the right of the executive to pass any law without the consent of the legislature”).
According to the reform, from September 1, 2023, the retirement period will gradually increase and will reach 64 years in 2030.
This decision turned into mass protests and clashes with police across the country.
