On Wednesday, the president of Rodez agglo, Christian Teyssèdre, Jean Philippe Keroslian and Jean Philippe Sadoul, vice-presidents, visited the Gély company.
For more than 30 years, the Gély company, with 32 employees (in Cantaranne), has specialized in engineering, boilermaking and mechanical machining. After the renovation of a 500 m2 building in 2021, it continues to be equipped with the arrival of laser cutting, then a latest generation press brake, an automated park and a welding arm.
This equipment will allow it to diversify, while switching to industry 4.0. But to do this, the construction of a new building of 1,500 m² is planned this year. It will allow him to “get comfortable” the boilermaking division, to revitalize the office part, but also to manufacture tools intended for the assembly of the Ariane 6 rocket, assembly which they will provide themselves on site in French Guiana, at the end of the year… Economic development is one of the mandatory skills of the community Rodez agglo.
The latter supports, among other things, business real estate and in this context, supports the new project of the Gély company, just as was the case for the construction of the first building, for a total budget of €97,357. And the visit which took place this Wednesday morning, was without a doubt, the concretization of this through a very instructive exchange between Serge Gély and the elected officials, on all the know-how and innovations of the company.
