In total, more than twenty million euros have been won by Lotto players since the start of the year: €2,833,334 on January 14 (divided between three winners), €2,250,000 on February 15 (divided between two players), 2,500,000 on March 22 and therefore €6,500,000 on March 8 and €2,000,000 on April 1. All this without counting the million euros divided between three players on January 18 (333,334 € each, Editor’s note).
And we must of course add to that the two Belgians who won rank 1 of the Euromillions, with jackpots of 144 and 66 million euros!
Lucky players who join the list of eight other millionaires since the beginning of the year in the Lotto, the latest having won two million euros last Saturday. And the Lottery to take stock of the last 45 years. “45 years of Lotto, it’s 4,800,000,000 validations, it’s more than 4,000 draws, it’s 3,750,000,000 euros in winnings at rank 1, it’s about 900 millionaires. Biggest win: €11,183,816 on July 5, 2014.”
We can only hope that the rest of the year will be as positive, of course. And if you can’t find the magic formula to find the right numbers, the Lottery still offers some new options to celebrate the event. “And the party starts in April where throughout the month you can win much more than the usual Lotto Jackpot. For every Lotto draw there will be 45 extra winners of €10,000. And the party is just getting started, so keep an eye on the Lotto for more very funky birthday surprises”, warns the Lottery.
For the next draws, there are therefore 54 million euros at stake in the Euromillions; this Friday, 1.5 million in the Lotto; this Saturday, and 10.4 million euros in the VikingLotto, for the draw on Wednesday 12 April. A game that has still not made a winner at rank 1 in Belgium since its launch in November 2021… Luck can’t be everywhere!
