Global University generates opportunities in the United States for the benefit of its university communityOn April 4, 2023, MDA Juan Camilo Mesa Jaramillo traveled to the United States and toured several universities in Texas with the aim of strengthening ties and generating opportunities for all members of the student community of Global University (GU).
He visited the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) which is listed as one of the top three universities in the northern country. UTSA executives, after receiving a presentation of the Global University educational model, decided to agree to generate opportunities for exchanges, stays, develop joint sustainability projects, entrepreneurship, and courses to strengthen the English language.
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) has redefined its higher education strategy to be a thriving institution where its students of all backgrounds can excel. With a focus on student success and research excellence, UTSA is serving as a model for the nation’s future urban service-focused public universities.
During his stay in Texas, the rector also visited the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW), where he agreed to promote strategies to achieve double degrees, the development of intensive courses in various disciplines focused on innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship. In addition, the possibility of consolidating trade missions between students and of course the mobility of the university community was explored.
Since its founding, UIW has worked to help its thousands of students achieve their academic dreams and was the first institution to offer higher education for women in central and south Texas. It consistently ranks among the top schools graduating Hispanic undergraduate students. They always look for their student community to generate positive changes in the world.
Global University (GU) has the vision of continuing to strengthen ties with universities in the world, which are related to the purpose of generating stories that make our planet the place where we deserve to live.
