What is an allergy?

- Environment Exposure to tobacco smoke, pollution, dust mites, cat and dog hair grass pollen May increase chance of allergy
Common symptoms of allergies
- stuffy nose, runny nose, cough, frequent colds
- Itchy skin, including eyelids, eyes, crooks of arms and legs
- Difficulty breathing, panting, chest tightness, wheezing sound
- Swollen, red, itchy skin rash
Prevention and treatment of allergies
- 1. Find substances that trigger allergy symptoms. By testing with a poke on the skin or blood test to check for allergens
- 2. Modify your environment to avoid exposure to allergens.
- 3. Take medication to control and alleviate allergy symptoms. under the supervision of a physician
- 4. Strengthen behaviors that help stimulate immunity, including eating a variety of foods from all 5 food groups, exercising regularly. Get enough rest to reduce stress.
