A teenage boy has been killed in Longford town after being hit by a bus on Convent Road. Authorities rushed to the scene around 6pm, but the boy had already died. Police have cordoned off the area for investigation. Longford Municipal District Cathaoirleach Cllr Gerry Hagan expressed his sadness and offered his condolences to the victim’s family.
