State railway operator PT KAI has signed a contract with PT INKA Multi Solusi Trading to procure train and carriage components on a multi-year basis from 2023 to 2026. The value of the contract amounts to around IDR 800bn ($55m) and focuses on maintenance kit components for train bogies and INKA carriages. The procurement collaboration centres on the improvement of railway facilities and ensuring that PT KAI can always provide high-quality services to train users. The components provided under the contract are mainly for K1 and K3 passenger train models. The contract was signed at PT KAI Yogyakarta’s Balai Yasa Office, and several officials from both agencies were present.
