Pensioners have been guaranteed cash before Easter so they can have a quiet holiday with everything they need on the table. Marius Budai announced that pensions will actually arrive earlier to allow people to prepare for the holidays.
Minister Budai explained that usually the postmen should come between 1-15, but now they will arrive on April 11, 2023 at the latest, so that all pensioners will receive their long-awaited money.
Even those who receive pensions on the card will receive the money much earlier, because the pensions will be transferred on April 10.
Usually pensions enter the card on the 12th of each month, no later than the 13th, but now an effort will be made by the authorities to please everyone.
Moreover, over 2.4 million Romanians are waiting for the 250 lei vouchers on their cards to shop during Holy Week.
Thus, the cards of needy Romanians will be loaded in advance, it being an installment of 250 lei from the “Support for Romania” program, installment related to the month of April.
“Until the Easter holidays, we load the food voucher with the 250 lei, because the Government of Romania, in yesterday’s meeting, approved the postponement of the deadline for the food vouchers and their loading with the 250 lei until the Easter holidays.
In this way, during Holy Week, we load the cards with the 250 lei for the 2,400,000 beneficiaries we have under the Support for Romania program.
I set the date of April 13 as a deadline, so that people can use it and buy what they need for the Easter holidays”, said Marcel Boloș, according to RTV.
Romanians will receive food packages
At the same time, over 800,000 Romanians will receive packages from the government, worth 390 lei each.
Everything so that Romanians can enjoy the holidays this month with the necessary food.
“Such a package, if we were to buy these products off the shelf, today would cost 390 lei, but the auction value that we have in the contracts provided for is 190 lei, so it is a very big advantage that these food packages and all the program itself meant was an auction for all the food we provide and try to get to the beneficiaries as soon as possible.
Until the Easter holidays, we have mobilized to have approximately 800,000 food packages distributed, and the difference will be distributed in the following period, until June at the latest”Minister Bolos added.
