“Violence and Deteriorating Conditions at Reims Prison Alarm Local Justice Bureau”

The days pass, and unfortunately, are alike, at the Reims prison.

Working conditions are deteriorating day by day, and in a cause and effect relationship, agents are becoming more and more worn out.

In recent months, episodes of violence have multiplied within detention:

  • Lynching while walking
  • Aggression in the cell with the blow of a stove
  • Multiple attacks in the showers
  • Attempted homicide in cell
  • Death threats against officers

On April 4, when there were 23 inmates from the 2nd floor on the yard, a violent brawl broke out. Two individuals were targeted by a group of several detainees, some of whom are already far too unfavorably known to our services. Result: two detainees injured, one of whom was quite seriously and required an emergency extraction.

Le Bureau Local FO JUSTICE sound the alarm bell before a tragedy occurs.

Le Bureau Local FO JUSTICE demands that the sponsors of this brawl, which we all know, be sanctioned and transferred as soon as possible, in order to restore calm in detention.

Finally, le Bureau Local FO JUSTICE salute the professionalism and composure shown by the agents, supervisors, first supervisors and officers.
