“Electric bus inaugurated by Emir of Medina to make 16 daily trips”

Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, inaugurated the electric bus services, one of the modern models of environmentally friendly public transport, in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser.

The bus will provide its services to the visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque and the residents of the region, through more than 16 trips per day over the course of 18 hours, as it will join the “Madina Bus” fleet, which aims to enhance the service of the residents and visitors of Medina by operating the public transport bus system through 4 main routes.

The electric bus is distinguished by its high operational efficiency, which enables it to travel a distance of 250 km on a single charge, via a dedicated track that links Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Airport with the Prophet’s Mosque, with a total distance of 38 km. The display that shows the details of the flight, in addition to allocating a group of seats to serve people with disabilities.

The bus is one of the projects of the Public Authority for Transport, which it is implementing in partnership with the Madinah Region Development Authority and the Municipality of the region.
