“Free Screenings of 2023 LUX Audience Award Finalists Announced”

Free screenings of the LUX Audience Award finalist films from April 12th to 16th

Five films were nominated for the third edition of the LUX Audience Award, which will be shown with free admission from Wednesday April 12th to Sunday April 16th in the Stadtkino in the Künstlerhaus.

This year’s finalist films are:

  • Alcarras (The Last Harvest) by Carla Simón,
  • Dry Days (Burning Days) von Emin Alper,
  • Close by Luke Dhont
  • Triangle of Sadness von Ruben Östlund,
  • Swampfire (Irrlicht) von João Pedro Rodrigues.

The LUX Audience Award aims to celebrate the diversity of European film and raise awareness of social, political and cultural issues in Europe. Viewers have the opportunity to vote for the winning film.

The film days are presented by the liaison office of the European Parliament in Austria in cooperation with the Viennale.
